I wanted to let everyone know that I have been having a problem with my comcast email account accepting reservation forms from my website. One of my customers called to inquire why I had not responded to the inquiry and I discovered the forms were missing from my email account. My website host does keep a log of all inquiries so I was able to retrieve them and get the requests booked. I apologise to everyone for the delay in getting back to you. Comcast has said they will look into the problem but meanwhile I have set up the form to return to another address I have so I will not be missing any more requests.
Reservations are coming in a a good pace and it looks like every Sat in May has now been booked with the exception of May 29 which is Memorial Day weekend. With the holiday on Monday why not book both Sat and Sun and load up with enough fillets for the whole town!!!
The regulations are still be worked on but it looks like this year we only have to leave 2 square inches of skin on each fillet. This means more room in each bag for meat and less trouble for you when you get home. Halibut go to 41" (no big deal) and haddock 18" (thats a small fish). Season opens 4/15/10 and anglers are no longer restricted to 2 hooks per line ( I dont understand why anyone would want more than 2). Finally no wolf fish may be taken...the most ridiculous reg I have ever seen. They cant tell if or why the population is down but they will simply opt to stop all fishing on them. I want to see one of these genius scientists show me how to release a wolfie alive without losing a couple fingers. This reg will simply end up in wasted fish as many will be simply killed and then thrown overboard.
Thats how I understand the new regs as of today...of course tomorrow I could find out I am wrong or they have been changed. Enough of my rant...can you tell I need to get out on the water and fish!
Finally dont forget that I can fish Monday through Friday during the week of April 19 as it is my school's vacation week. Friday the 23rd has been taken but that still leaves 4 days to book. Also, any 2010 charter booked before April 1, 2010 receives a $50 discount...no limit on type or number of charters you wish to book.
Thats it for now, as I am back to fixing reels and tying leaders,
