I am currently 657 miles from Stellwagen Bank as I am attending the christening of my grandson Adrian this weekend.
I received reports yesterday from many friends who had a great day fishing on both Stellwagen Bank and Jeffreys ledge. It seems the fish were on a great bite everywhere you went yesterday. Those are the days you want to see everytime you go out but are hard to come by.
I will be launching the Lady Diane and putting her in her new home at Cape Ann Marina's charter boat dock on Tuesday. My first charter is scheduled for Wednesday but right now the forecast is not looking very favorable. A series of storms will be passing to our east on Tuesday and Wednesday and a strong NE wind is being predicted so we will have to wait and see. Hopefully the storms will pass by quickly and the seas will lay down so we can get after the fish.
Finally, sinceI will be at a marina in Gloucester this year I have decided to offer a trip for families who may be vacationing in the Gloucester area . CapeAnnKids Trips are designed for entire family to enjoy some time together on the water and get those unforgettable photos of your young angler's first fish. We will also tour Gloucester harbor, visit some lighthouses and pull a couple lobster traps to see what we can catch. CaeAnnKids trips will begin in July of 2009 and will depart from the Cape Ann Marina charter dock. For more information please visit CAPEANNKIDS for more information and reservations.
Hopefully my next report will have some photos of our season's first fish.
Tight Lines,
Capt. George
