TUNA TUNA TUNA
28 May 2010

ITS ON...Tuna have hit the Bank and are starting to eat.  Fish between 60" and 88" have been taken during the past few days.

I have taken this weekend off from chartering and will be chasing cod and tuna with my nephew from western MA, Tom.  Tom is an avid inshore fisherman (stripers & blues) so I hope to hook him up with some offshore action. We plan on targeting cod during the running tides and charlie on the slacks.  Weather looks good so its time to Go Fishing!

On the Breaking News front...GOOD NEWS!!!

As of May 27, 2010 the daily BFT retention limit for Charter Boats has been set a one fish between 27" and less than 73" when fishing recreationally.  That means NO SLOT LIMIT (yet) and you get to keep a fish on each trip.  These fish will average 68"+ this year and that means a lot of shashimi for everyone on board.  I have just a couple weekend days left in June so call ASAP if you want to get in on this First Bite of the season.

I will try and give some updates as the weekend progresses.

Tight Lines,

Capt George
