F/V Lady Diane
Are you ready

for some Fishing???
15 Apr 2010

I know I sure am !.  I splashed the Lady Diane on the weekend and took a run to the bank to see what I could find. The Lady Diane ran perfectly and all systems are good to go.  The codfish are stacked like cordwood and boy where they hungry.  We tried a half dozen different spots and could not get the jig to the bottom without hooking up nice market cod.  The good news is that they were all released alive and are waiting for you. The haddock havent shown in the shallow water yet but they are on the move and should be here around the 20th.  My buddy nailed them in the deep water outside so if we need to get some I know where to go.

Unfortuantely, Mother Nature is picking up where she left off last fall and has decided to throw a little northeast wind with rain at us this weekend.  I have had to reschedule Saturday's opener as I just didn't feel I could get the guys to the grounds with 100% confidence.  Many of my customers drive a long ways to fish with me and I want to be sure they get a chance to fish and not just take a short boat ride.  With the fish that are there right now I hate having to reschedule but I would rather do that then to allow anyone to experience a dissapointing, expensive trip.  The fish  will be here next week as well and the weather has to improve.

As soon as I get out (hopefully Monday) I will post a report so until then keep thinking FISH and NO WIND!!!
