I brought the Lady Diane down to Cape Ann Marina on Thursday for its spring commisioning. The yard was alive with workers and boats were being uncovered and prepped for the upcoming season. It has been a long winter and everyone was enjoying the great weather and anticipating a great spring opener. I hope to have the Lady Diane home by mid week and I will be rigging her for the 2010 season. Hopefully I will be in the water by next weekend and I plan to do a little pre-season fishing for the family. Massachusetts state waters open for cod on April 1st so I plan to check out the inshore humps to see whats happening. I know there are plenty of haddock offshore so I will take a run down south to the Bank and see what I can find there as well. I promise to leave you guys a couple !!!
I had a cancellation for Sunday, April 18th so if anyone is interested in getting in on the opening weekend give me a call by April 1st and you will save $50 off the charter. Also, I still have the following weekend dates in May open 5/16 ,5/29 & 5/30.
Finally, for all you tuna guys I found this video on YouTube that should spike your fever a little. This was taken off Oregon Inlet in NC on 3/25/10. The tuna were crashing on bluefish and averaged 70"+...at least the ones they were able to land. Enjoy....they are on the way and they are BIG!!!
