I am looking forward to a great weekend of fishing as I have back to back charters on Sat and Sun with great crews. Reports have the cod and haddock still in shallow water and biting well on various stages of the tide. Looks like the mackerel have really come on strong so I will be on the lookout for my pet "Beagle" as well..maybe this will be the weekend we get a chance at putting a permanent leash on him! I wont be posting a full report until Monday but I will try and give you a brief synopsis of what happened each evening.
Yesterday I picked up one of my new tuna jigging outfits and this setup should be the ultimate weapon in our future battles with Charlie.

A 600g OTI rod and Stella 20000SW spin reel loaded with Jerry Brown braid and fluro leader...this is going to be a real tuna killer. I plan on setting up one additional OTI conventional jig rod before the season opens on the first. I am really looking forward to seeing my customers pull on real big fish using these high end outfits.
My weekends are entirely booked through June with the exception of one Sunday...Thank you!!! Cape Ann Marina is working out very well and the customers seem to enjoy being able to roll out of bed, walk across the parking lot and go fishing. Don't forget that if you book a room at the Resort to tell them you are fishing with me and you will receive a discount on your room rate! Beginning June 25th I am available for charter 7 days a week. Fishing is great throughout the summer as I will take you where the fish are and not where I wish they were. If you are vacationing with the family in the Gloucester area, you might be interested in taking your crew on a CapeAnnKids trip and break in those new anglers in your family..check out CapeAnnKids on the website for more information.
Tight Lines,
